Juuken Sentai Gekiranger translated into English as Beast Fist Squadron Gekiranger is rumored to be TOEI Company Limited's 31st entry into the Super Sentai franchise. Its theme is that of wildlife having the first three members based on various wild cats. Production began on September 29, 2006 with principal photography beginning on October 6, 2006. It is slated to premiere in February 18, 2007.
The story of Gekiranger features two opposing sides of the same school of martial arts, the Beast-Fist style, which allows one to control the anguish in their minds. The good form of Beast-Fist style is known as Fierce Beast-Fist Beast Arts. The evil form of Juuken is known as Overlooking Beast-Fist Akugata and they are commanded by the Overlooking Beast Lord. To fight the opposing school, Sha Fu chooses three of his students, Jan Kandou, Ran Uzaki, and Retsu Fukami to confront the Overlooking Beast-Fist school.
